My last finals have been submitted and I’m ready to help Castor collect stars! My plan is to alternate between genres as I tackle the books I own to avoid a reading slump, and I’m doing some buddy reads along the way to keep me motivated!
Here is my TBR list for December:

I’m buddy reading Serpent & Dove with my favorite people ever to kick off my #StartOnYourShelfAthon journey and I’m super excited! I’ve been wanting to read this book ever since it came out and got a ton of 4-5 star reviews by my mutuals and this was the perfect opportunity to finally read it!

If there are two things I love more than most things in the world, it’s good dumplings and a discussion of the mental health stigma within the Asian community. The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling came highly recommended by CW herself, and I have a good feeling that this will be one of those books I share with my mom as well. Orianna and I have plans to make dumplings from scratch and talk books, and I’m ready to hunker down and get my cry on.

I got Jade City as a part of my Book Outlet haul this summer and I’ve been patiently waiting until I had the time to actually read it. Jade City will be accompanying me to work this month and I’ll probably be texting Orianna in all-caps the entire time I’m reading it. Most of the fantasy I’ve read has been YA so I’m really excited to read more adult fantasy!
